Keep Moving! An Article Featuring Sue Falsone

Hey everyone-

I had the honor of being one of 64 fitness professionals interviewed for this story! I think it is such a great article with some amazing tips from industry leaders across the country, and I wanted to share it with you.

Experts Share How You Can Keep Moving With A Busy Schedule (My interview is #10 on that list.)

There is a common theme in the story…every little bit counts!

Let’s face it, going to the gym for over an hour every day is simply unrealistic for most of us. Personally, I was having the same struggle! I couldn’t get to the gym with my travel schedule, so guess what I did? I stopped going. And I stopped working out! Me! I am a fitness professional and I stopped working out because I “didn’t have the time”. If time prevents me from working out, time could be preventing you too.

So, what I have done is reframed my mindset. I no longer think the only way to get a workout is by going to the gym for an hour. I now do 15-minute high intensity interval workouts in my home or hotel room, 5-6 days a week. That is it. That is my expectation and goal. If I get more than that, great. If not, as long as I do my 15 minute workout, I have met my goal!

And you know what? It is realistic to attain this goal, and maintain consistency in my workouts. I throw in my favorite CLX band into my bag
( http://www.therabandclx.com/ ) and plan on 15 minutes for me. No matter how busy my day is, I can get up 15 minutes early to get this done, regardless of the number of time zones I have travelled.

Do NOT let time be the barrier for living an active, healthy lifestyle. I have been spending more time at my computer and on an airplane these days, and these 15 minutes are imperative to my health and well-being, both physically and mentally.

There are some really great tips in this article…ENJOY!

Sue
